If an individual decides to withdraw their consent, the steps to handle this depend on whether the consent has already been uploaded or synced. Here's what to do:
If Consent Is Not Yet Uploaded or Synced
- Open the Project Overview in the FairConsent app.
- Locate the individual’s consent in “View recorded consents”.
- Tap the trash icon to delete the consent directly from your device.

For General Projects
- Delete the consent record from your device if needed.
- Inform the current consent holder (e.g., client, organization) about the withdrawal and request they delete the consent and mark any corresponding visuals for non-use.
For Fairpicture Projects
- Inform Fairpicture by emailing [email protected] and/or the relevant client directly.
- Request that the consent is deleted and the associated visuals are marked for non-use on the Fairpicture platform.
Important Notes
- Withdrawal of consent applies to both the consent data and any visuals linked to the individual.
- A consent withdrawal function is planned for the FairConsent app and platform for mid 2025.
