What if someone wants to withdraw consent?

If an individual decides to withdraw their consent, the steps to handle this depend on whether the consent has already been uploaded to the platform or not yet uploaded. 

Here's what to do:

1. If Consent Is Not Yet Uploaded

• Open the Project Overview in the FairConsent app.
• Locate the consent givers consent in “View”.

• Tap the trash icon to delete the consent directly from the app. Learn more on Consent Overview and Editing
  

• 

2. If Consent Has Already Been Uploaded

For Fairconsent Projects

• The organization admins will receive an email notification about the withdrawal request and there will be a status label shown next to the consent giver's name on the platform.

•  Confirm deletion the consent on the platform.

Important Notes

• Withdrawal of consent applies to both the consent data and any visuals linked to the consent givers.
