What payment method does Fairpicture use?
Fairpicture uses Payoneer, a secure and reliable payment platform that offers many benefits to photographers and videographers including payment in most local currencies. We work with Payoneer to ensure the lowest transaction costs possible and avoid bank fees being deducted from your payment. If you want to get paid even faster and avoid intransparent bank fees, you can set up your own Payoneer account for free here: https://www.payoneer.com/industries/freelancers/. Please note on your invoice if you want to be paid to a Payoneer account.
Which expenses can I add to my invoice?
Unless otherwise agreed, you can add expenses for travel and accommodation to your invoice.
Additionally, you may also include previously agreed-upon expenses with the client.
At which point do I get my payment?
After completing production according to our post-production guidelines, you can upload your invoice. You receive an email notification as soon as we file your invoice for payment. From that moment on, it can take up to 10 days until you receive your payment from that moment on. Please contact us using the Fairpicture only chat if you don't receive your payment within 10 days.
Why is there a deduction from my payment?
It can happen that there is an extra fee for your transfer because it was sent via the SWIFT payment network. SWIFT transfers are used to send money in a currency that isn't the standard currency for that recipient's country. For example, if you’re sending USD outside of the US to Country XY, then SWIFT is the only option. Intermediary banks can take their own, separate fees - so the recipient may get less than intended. We try to avoid this whenever possible but don’t have full control over when these fees are charged, or how much they are.
I need a payment confirmation for my bank.
Contact us using the Fairpicture only chat on the project page, and we will send you a payment confirmation.
Can I get a downpayment?
If you have extraordinarily high expenses for e.g. travel, or the assignment stretches over a long time period, there is the possibility of getting a downpayment.
Please note that a downpayment might cause additional bank fees that Fairpicture won't be able to cover.

Can I get the payment in a bank account other than mine?
Yes. We will transfer the payment to the account details provided on the invoice.
