Why is there a limited usage period of 5 years despite consent?

With this time limit, we are complying with the requirements of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, which is largely in line with the Swiss Data Protection Act. From the perspective of data protection, the restriction of the period of use has the following main reason: 

• The circumstances of the photographed/filmed can change dramatically within 5 years and this should be taken into account. 
• There is  a "right to be forgotten": according to this, the images would also have to be destroyed after 5 years - unless they were of particular historical value.
