Consent Links (BETA)

Overview

Consent Links allow your organization to collect consent directly from contributors without using the FairConsent mobile app.

Instead, you create a link → share it → the contributor completes the consent on a secure web page.

Best Use Cases

• Events and gatherings
• Remote interviews or online registrations
• Meeting points where consent is needed in advance
• When the contributor cannot access or use the mobile app

All submitted consents automatically appear in your Admin Panel, and contributors receive a confirmation email with a copy of their consent and a withdrawal link.

Accessing Consent Links

1. Log in to your FairConsent Platform.
2. From the left menu, go to Consent Links (BETA).

Creating a New Consent Link

1. Click Create.
2. Fill in the required details:

Fields Explained

• Title: Name of the link (e.g., “Event Consent – Nairobi”).
• Description: Optional short explanation.
• Consent Terms: Choose the consent terms to display to contributors.
• Expiration Date: When the link should stop accepting new consents.
• Confirmation Method: Choose Photo, Audio, or both.

Action

Click Create to generate your new Consent Link.

Consent Link Overview Page

After creation, you will see the full details of your link.

From this page, you can:

• View link information (title, terms, expiration).
• Download the QR Code.
• Copy the Public Link.
• View all submitted consents.
• Download all collected consents in one click.
• Edit or delete the link.

Contributor Experience

When the contributor opens the link or scans the QR code, they complete three steps:

Step 1 — Review Terms

• Terms are shown as a PDF preview.
• The contributor must accept the terms to proceed.

Step 2 — Provide Consent Details

The contributor submits:

• Full name
• Email address (used for sending their consent copy)

If photo confirmation is enabled:

• They will be asked to take a live photo
• They can retake the photo if needed

Step 3 — Submission Success

Upon completion:

• A success message appears.
• The contributor immediately receives a confirmation email with:
  • Their consent PDF
  • A withdrawal link

Where to Find Collected Consents

All consents submitted through the link are stored in the Consent Link details page, listed under the table.

You can:

• View each consent
• Download individually
• Download all in bulk
• Delete entries when needed

Email Confirmation Sent to Contributors

Each contributor receives an automated email that includes:

• A PDF copy of their consent
• Confirmation details (terms, date, contributor information)
• A withdrawal link they can use at any time

This ensures transparency and easy access to consent documentation.
